  Our History

For over thirty years Ebac has been working with innovation and the needs of each customers to achieve significant commercial success.

Chairman and founder John Elliott MBE, was born near Bishop Auckland in 1943. A draftsman by trade, John entered into self-employment in the early 70s and won a contract to produce industrial dehumidifiers for a national construction group. The dehumidifier order led to Ebac’s foundation, with John as its only member of staff, back in 1973. His dedication and drive soon saw it grow and seven years later it reached its first £1M turnover.

One year later, in 1980, John developed the UK’s first mass-produced domestic dehumidifier, which effectively created the British market for this product type, and the company blossomed.

Now, Ebac own a brand portfolio worth millions and would like you to tell us what you can add to our business.
